Follow the Charles “Julio Foolio” Jones Shooting Trial — State of Florida v. Alicia Andrews
The Florida trial of Alicia Andrews of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio is now in progress in Tampa, Florida.
Prosecutors say that she helped track the rapper’s movements while Charles Jones was in Tampa for his birthday. They claim she kept tabs with others who later trapped the rapper in a Tampa hotel lot.
A group of armed men allegedly opened fire, killing him and injuring three others.
The defendant has been charged with premeditated murder and murder conspiracy.
Investigators have presented cell phone data that they say tie Andrews to the scene. This includes location tracking data and videos State of Florida v Alicia Andrews recovered from her iCloud.
The defense argues that she didn’t know what the others intended to do. The defense says she was in Tampa for personal reasons.
The proceedings is being followed closely by court watchers because the killing is linked to gang tensions.
Day 6 of the trial has focused on digital forensics, with detectives explaining how they traced Andrews’ movements.
